Journalism has been subjected to change ever since the
invention of the Internet. The traditional journalism acquired a new platform, and
with this a new audience as well. In
addition to this, new ways of reporting began to surface and new platforms such
as social media began to gain more importance.
Unlike traditional journalism, the new journalistic style
revolves around the idea of using sensationalizing headlines in order to fight
for the recipient’s attention.
The traditional idea of journalism relies on a certain
format and structured manner, where little emotional impute is being put into
the reports. In contrast traditional journalism, reports in a more concise
manner.
The only way that traditional journalism can thrive and
survive is through education. With a sufficient knowledge, one is able to know
what is the right form to acquire information and how to distinguish between
good journalism and emotional one.
