The Media are an integral part of almost every adult in modernized countries around the globe, delivering and spreading information about current events. But how prevalent are British and American media here in Germany?
It is almost impossible to spend a day in Germany without being exposed to some kind of British or American news. Particulary American news are omnipresent, especially with Trump being elected, no day passes without a new story about the years to come. In addition to news though, British and American TV-Shows and movies also find an enormous audience on the German market and the only truely german shows are crime series or the occasional comedy shows, which in turn are heavily influenced by current events from overseas, further strengthening the bond between german and American/British media. Suffice to say the whole modern entertainment market is dictated by American media not only in form of news, but also in form of movies or even games.
